Fieldvue DVC Positioner DD upgrade effective January 2007
Important Announcement
Emerson Process Management's Fisher division has announced enhancements to the Fieldvue DVC6000 digital valve control product line including a change to the Device Description (DD). This will affect all DVC6000 users in that it requires a new DD to be added to your HART Communicators or your ValveLink Software in order to communicate to the new Firmware. One of the most significant enhancements is the capability of having the DVC positioner automatically revert to a "Pressure Control Mode" should the feedback arm or potentiometer become damaged. This allows the DVC to "bypass" the feedback mechanism on alert and continue to operate the valve as an I/P to avoid loss of control. Click here for further information.
